The laboratory has two main activities:
MDL is housing the Danish Research School in Molecular Cancer Research from 2003 to 2008. Globally, we collaborate greatly and exchange scientists with leading laboratories. MDL also collaborates with major pharmaceutical companies in research projects approved by Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital. From 2005 to 2010, MDL participates in the "Nordic Centre of Excellence Programme in Molecular Medicine", funded by the Joint Committee of the Nordic Medical Research Councils, the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Nordic Academy for Advanced Study. MDL is part of the Nordic Network of Excellence in Disease Genetics (NoNEDG) and one of the six participating research teams from Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
MDL has over the time expanded its technological
facilities currently housing DHPLC - WAVE technology, multi-capillary
sequencers, Affymetrix systems, custom array gridder, four-colour laser
scanners, laser microdissection microscopy, and other modern equipment.
