MDL
is member of the Center for Molecular Clinical
Cancer Research at the Science Center Skejby.
In 2000 the company AROS Applied Biotechnology
was formed in collaboration with Aarhus County. This company offers molecular
analysis at GLP level. Aros is an official Affymetrix Microarray service
provider, with facilities for high-throughput array services for pharmaceutical
companies. Aros also offers other contract research and tissue banking
services.
A core-centre providing services within the array area has been established
in 2003 as a unit associated with The Clinical
Institute at Aarhus University.
 From 2003 to 2008 MDL
housed the "Danish Research
School in Molecular Cancer Research" funded by the Danish Research Council. The Research school educated a number of new PhD's and was based
on excellent collaboration between laboratories across Denmark.
From
2005 to 2010, MDL participated in the "Nordic
Centre of Excellence Programme in Molecular Medicine", funded
by the Joint Committee of the Nordic Medical Research Councils, the Nordic
Council of Ministers and the Nordic Academy for Advanced Study.
MDL is
part of the Nordic Network
of Excellence in Disease Genetics (NoNEDG) and one of the six participating
research teams from Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
